Lab-Grown Meat Approved In The U.S.
Cultivated meat has been approved for sale in the United States for the first time ever following a historic announcement from the FDA.
The FDA approval applies to cell-based chicken products made by Upside Foods, though in their announcement, the FDA said it is ready to work with other companies that are developing cell based foods.
This decision marks a significant turning point for the adoption of cellular agriculture.
The Sprint
Steakholder Foods (NASDAQ:STKH) an international food company at the forefront of the cultured meat revolution, filed a provisional patent for a new process to create cell-cultured fish with layers of tissue to achieve the characteristic of tender flakiness of cooked fish.
Hypercharge (NEO:HC) an electric vehicle supply equipment company, began trading on the NEO Exchange. Hypercharge is the first Canadian-founded EV charging company to go public.
Adamas One (NASDAQ:JWEL), a lab-grown diamond producer, raised $34M in their IPO and began trading on the Nasdaq.
Acrivon Therapeutics (Nasdaq:ACRV), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing precision oncology medicines that it matches to patients whose tumors are predicted to be sensitive to each specific medicine, raised $99.4M in their IPO and began trading on the Nasdaq.
